In what could be a shocking incident in the history of Parliament, The Andhra Pradesh Reorganization-2013 was tabled in Lok Sabha by Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. As soon as Shinde read out the first sentence, Seema Andhra MPs barged in to him. They also tried to tear the bill papers from Shinde’s hands. As soon as the bill is tabled, Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Raja Gopal sprayed pepper spray on all the members in the house. Members for a moment do not understand what it is and tried running out due to suffocation.
Telangana MPs like Ponnam Prabhakar tried to physically assault Lagadapati. Few MPs from other states divided both the groups and stopped possible violence. Telugu Desam MP Venu Gopal Reddy broke the mike and tried to pierce it in to his stomach. Speaker Meira Kumar adjourned the house and asked the MPs to leave the house immediately.
