Latest Survey: YCP Losing Hold On Nellore District

YSR Congress had registered a clean sweep in the Nellore district in the 2019 elections. TDP could not even open its account in the ten seats that are in the district.

But then, things have become bad for the party in recent times.

Various surveys suggest that the party is going to lose at least five seats in the district. Gudur, Venkatagiri, Nellore Urban, Kovvuru, and Kavali are the five seats where the ruling party is on slippery ground.

The improper reorganization of the district and severe discontent among the Urban voters are said to be the reasons.

Former Minister Anil Kumar Yadav himself is in trouble from Nellore Urban constituency. The party’s position is better in Sarvepalli because of the popularity of Kakani Govardhan Reddy and in Atmakur and Udaygiri constituencies due to the Mekapati family.

Jagan is contemplating changing the sitting MLA, Kaliveti Sanjeevaiah in Sullurpeta.

Kotamredy Sridhar Reddy is still able to maintain the hold over his Nellore Rural constituency thanks to his personal popularity.
