Legendary Cartoonist Quits Eenadu

Legendary cartoonist, Sridhar, who had emerged as a household name to Telugu readers after his 40-year association with renowned publication, Eenadu has quit his position at the company.

“Left Eenadu. Resigned,” read a Facebook post shared by Sridhar a short while back. This came as a sudden shock to many.

Sridhar’s first cartoon for Eenadu was published on the 22nd of August, 1981. He used the word Asthana in this cartoon and ever since, he is popularly called ‘Asthana Artist’.

Sridhar has now decided to severe ties with Eenadu after spending a little over 40 years at the acclaimed publication.

Many readers have the habit of catching a glimpse of Sridhar’s cartoon first and then going through Eenadu’s daily news paper. His witty cartoons have a large patronage and his cartoons on Eenadu will most certainly be missed by the readers.
