LS Elections: Huge Interest In Revanth’s Constituency

The Malkajgiri Lok Sabha Constituency in Telangana was previously represented by the state’s Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy, before he assumed his current position.

Following his victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls against a BRS candidate, Reddy gained significant influence in one of Telangana’s key constituencies out of the 17 in the state.

With the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, a three-way contest is emerging among the Congress, BRS, and BJP.

Malkajgiri, the largest constituency in India, focuses on crucial issues such as improving irrigation systems, agricultural facilities, employment generation, and infrastructure development.

With a population exceeding 30 lakh, it boasts over 25 lakh voters who will play a crucial role in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Malkajgiri, with the highest voter count among all Lok Sabha seats, is witnessing a BJP contest, with front-runner Malka Komaraiah, an educationist, eyeing the seat held by Congress, relying on local recognition and support. Competitors include Etala Rajender and former MP Chada Suresh Reddy.

Popular Tollywood producer and Congress leader Bandla Ganesh has applied for the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha ticket, expressing confidence in Congress’s potential victory and praising the leadership of Telangana’s chief minister and TPCC chief, A Revanth Reddy.

On the other hand, BRS is still recovering from the defeat in the assembly elections. There’s speculation about a possible alliance between BRS and BJP for the Lok Sabha elections, influenced by recent political events in Telangana.
