On Friday, Andhra Pradesh HR Minister was at a national forum. Lokesh is a good orator considered to be the heir apparent of his father CM Chandrababu. So, the participation is no news.
Well then, what is it that got the entire nation buzzing about this one particular talk. Lokesh apologized on camera. He rendered an apology to hindus across the world. Again the big question arises – why did he apologise and for what.
Nara Lokesh being a thorough-bred and someone who takes pride in his rooted upbringing, apologized for the Tirumala laddoo ghee adulteration that is alleged to have happened between 2019 and 2024.
At the time, Jagan was in power and Lokesh’s party was in opposition. It is Jagan who has to render an apology. But Jagan is busy calling the entire episode political vendetta. He never bothered to say sorry as it would mean accepting the wrong doings that happened during the time.
But Lokesh is a true gentleman. He is wise enough to know when to bend. He apologised to not just Andhra citizens, but to all the devout who believe in Lord Venkateswara.
He took the onus as a senior Minister of the state and added that Tirumala prasadam is an emotion that was pious and a bit of blessing from Lord Venkateswara. Lokesh pointed out that the devout remove their chappal before taking the prasadam.
After apologising, Lokesh said what many were waiting to hear. He said that his government would be setting up a world-class testing facility at Tirumala, something that the world hasn’t seen and those involved will be punished based on SIT report. No one should ever think of tampering with the laddoo ever again. They will face the wrath, were Lokesh’s concluding words.
Lokesh showed how deeply faith matters to him, how he could go that extra mile to apologise for something he had no part in and how he could be a ruthless taskmaster to those who tampered with none other than Lord Venkateswara.
