During the limited time set aside for Tirumala ghee adulteration case, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan raised some valid points. In conclusion he said whoever involved must be punished.
Pawan Kalyan said had such an issue happened in Islam or Chirstianity, big controversy would have broken out. But such things don’t happen there due to vote banks, Pawan Kalyan said. Taking a dig at the rise of casteist feelings in Andhra Pradesh in recent days, Pawan Kalyan said it is easy to get away with such heinous crimes as it is easy to split Hindu voters on caste basis.
Pawan Kalyan pointed out that NDDB report said animal fat was used in laddoos. CBI said that there were other chemical contaminants. This is a matter concerning faith. It impacts the devotees world over. Why is Jagan backing the ex TTD Board? Does this mean he is involved in the matter? Pawan Kalyan wondered.
The devotees are waiting to know who was behind the matter. They want to know who could dilute the sanctity of Tirumala prasadam.
Some years back, Ram Gopal Varma made a commercial movie where a theft of the main deity happens in Tirumala. For thinking about such a plot, RGV was ostracized by the Hindu fraternity and the backlash was such that he had to run away to Bollywood. One can see his downfall following that film.
While those who believe in faith go by the karma theory that the criminals will be punished. After pouring out their angst for days on end, the devotees of Lord Venkateswara are waiting for a resolution of the matter. They want punishment to the accused.
Will the one-man committee throw up names? Will there be punishment for those responsible for tampering with temple’s rules and regulations? Will people of Andhra Pradesh wait for karma to strike or vote out YSRCP from the map of AP politics, time will tell.
For now, there is a common question – why is Jagan supporting ex TTD Board? Is it to save face or fear of public backlash?
