YCP Ongole MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy has been at arm’s length with the YCP high command for a while now. He recently faced a humiliating situation at the parliament as he respectfully came to greet Jagan while the latter was on his way to meet PM Modi at the parliament, but was completely ignored by the CM.
Amidst the reports that Magunta is looking for other alternatives, him skipping Jagan’s public meeting in Ongole today has dropped a big hint that he is indeed sidelining the party.
It is a norm for the sitting MP to attend the CM’s official program that is happening in his constituency. But that didn’t happen with Magunta today as he skipped Jagan’s meeting.
Magunta has been looking at TDP for a while now and there are reports that he could be joining the party ahead of the polls. This narrative has gained more traction after Magunta skipped Jagan’s Ongole meeting today. It is a matter of time before the veteran MP quits YCP and joins TDP.
At this rate, YCP should hold some sort of a record for losing the highest number of sitting MLAs and MPs much ahead of the polls.
