IT Minister Nara Lokesh, though an only child, celebrated Rakhi with great warmth as women from his constituency Mangalagiri tied rakhis to him at his Undavalli residence.
He expressed deep gratitude for their love and said he would work to make Mangalagiri number one with their blessings, calling them his sisters since he has no blood sister. Lokesh shared that their affection gives him strength to pursue his goals and promised to remain indebted to them.
Marking the occasion, he announced that another round of house pattas would be distributed soon. He said that after the alliance government came to power, they undertook 200 developmental works in Mangalagiri, including underground drainage, electricity, gas pipelines, a 100-bed hospital, and a gems and jewellery park for goldsmiths, which are nearing completion.
He also shared that roads are being laid across the constituency, and projects like the Mahaprasthanam crematorium and new parks are being developed. Despite the financial challenges in the state, Lokesh emphasised that significant developmental works continue in Mangalagiri.
