Modi Dealt a Death Blow to the Maoists

The Demonetization Drive announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 8th night brought the entire nation to a grinding halt. The movie which aims to combat black money, fake currency, and Terror Funding. We do not know about the first two for now but it hit the target of Terror Funding for sure.

That is evident from the number of Maoists surrendered after Demonetization. As many as 468 Maoists surrendered in Chhattisgarh indicating the blow Modi had hit them. Maoists have huge stashes of Cash running into Crores and all that went waste now with they are no longer the legal tender.

Police are maintaining strict vigil on Maoists coming out of Forests to force people to exchange the money and several arrests are being made. Also, people who either out ideological support or intimidation helping the Maoists are being traced when they deposit huge amounts in the Jandhan accounts.

Police seem to be very well prepared to stop the cash exchange so the rats in the holes will feel suffocated. Reports are emerging that Maoists are now struggling to procure supplies for the daily routine and very soon things will go worse. It has to be seen how the already weakened Maoist Movement will suffer this blow.
