Mylavaram: Sitting MLA Vs Minister!

Vasantha Krishna Prasad won as the MLA of Mylavaram by defeating the then-minister Devineni Uma Maheshwara Rao. But then, Vasantha is facing a problem from his own party itself.

Minister Jogi Ramesh wants to contest from Mylavaram in 2024 and so is poking his nose into the constituency and the party is split into two factions as a result.

The MLA’s father Vasantha Nageswara Rao recently made comments against the government on issues like the NTR University name change, no Kammas in the Jagan cabinet, etc and Krishna Prasad can not do anything about it.

Jogi Ramesh is using that to his advantage. Jogi contested from Mylavaram in 2014. He is residing in the same constituency even though he is the MLA from Pedana.

Both of them are not seeing eye to eye regarding various business contacts. The Minister is also prevailing over the MLA in the transfer of officials. Jogi Ramesh’s brother wanted to contest for Kondapalli Panchayati Chairmanpost but the MLA stopped him.

So, this friction between both of them is weakening the party in Mylavaram.
