Naidu implements Modi Style in Power sector!

Couple of months ago, Andhra Pradesh government has sent a team of experts to Gujarat to study the Solar Power projects on Canals which are successfully implemented there. These kind of projects are cost effective as they do not need to acquire lands and will take care of the local needs with no ill-effect on environment. AP CM Chandrababu Naidu was very impressed by the project idea and is planning such projects in the state too.

The first of that kind project will come up on Losari Canal near Bhimavaram in West Godavari district. This project will yield one Megawatt of Power and will cost 10 Crore for the state exchequer. Andhra Pradesh is the first state to have such project after Gujarat and the Center has agreed to bear half the cost of the project (5 Crore).

Solar Panels will be installed on Losari Canal for stretch of 2.5 Kilometers. APGENCO is planning another five megawatt Solar project on Polavaram Canal banks in West Godavari district.
