Naidu’s begins work on IT signature Towers

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has began working on his dream project of building a World-class IT signature towers in Vishakapatnam in the bid to promote the city as a major IT destination.

The state government is currently working on expression of interest (EOI) for the project and will be finalizing the proposal in this month itself. With EOI released, construction majors will come to know about the government’s expectations on the project and then will be able to submit their designs accordingly.The IT department is working in the direction to complete the design phase by the end of January, 2015.

The government has already finalized the location of land for this Mega project at Rushikonda and the project is expected to be worked out on Public Private Partnership Model. There is already a 50,000 sqft incubation center for IT companies at Rushikonda that currently houses the `Startup Village’. Chandrababu is planning this signature towers over a built-up area of around 10 lakh sqft to provide plug-and-play facilities for software firms planning to set up base in Vizag.
