Lokesh Remembers Rosaiah, Shows Character

On Monday, the statue of Potti Sriramulu who fought for separate Andhra Pradesh from Madras state was unveiled in Amaravati. The statue will be called Statue of Sacrifice and it was inaugurated by CM Chandrababu Naidu.

But it was Lokesh who stole the show at the event. Potti Sreeramulu belonged to the Arya Vysya community just like ex CM of combined Andhra Pradesh Rosaiah.

Though Rosaiah was a Congress leader all his life, Lokesh did not mind talking about Rosaiah tata in a warm and affectionate way. Lokesh shared the love and respect he had for Rosaiah. He had no qualms in admitting that politicians like Rosaiah were his inspiration.

The IT & HR Minister said he always looked up to Rosaiah as true statesman. Lokesh also shared an anecdote saying that if Chandrababu and YSR had serious arguments in Assembly, Rosaiah would call his dad at 6 am in the morning and gently request him to focus on people’s issues.

At a time when politicians address fellow politicians as gadu, vaadu, veedu and use cuss words, Lokesh proved he was a gentleman politician by talking so respectfully of a politician who is long gone.
