There is an ongoing campaign suggesting that Anil may not be given a ticket in the upcoming elections. This has put key leaders of the constituency and second-tier leaders in a dilemma as they struggle to mediate between Anil and Roop. The internal conflicts within the YSRCP have led some key leaders to consider leaving the ruling party.
Several YSRCP chiefs and corporators have approached former minister Narayana’s residence to discuss the possibility of joining the TDP. For instance, YSRCP corporator Bobbala Srinivas Yadav held a private discussion with Narayana for about 20 minutes.
In the past, whatever Roop wanted was facilitated when Anil held a ministerial position. However, with the elections approaching, they are now publicly criticizing each other in front of the media. Anil insists there is no need to compromise, while Roop states he is willing to work together if the CM agrees.
Many YSRCP leaders are now considering switching to the TDP, as they see no further benefit in staying with the YSRCP. Consequently, a number of YSRCP leaders have engaged in discussions with Narayana about potentially joining the TDP.
