Modi Circar Not Trusting KCR?

A report in Deccan Chronicle reveals that the Central Government is suspicious of Telangana Government fudging Coronavirus cases number to save ‘Brand Hyderabad’. The report further says the central officials are reaching out to their bureaucratic counterparts in Telangana to get the actual number informally.

Telangana Government reportedly tried to downplay the Tabhiligi Jamaat factor while it saw Telangana BJP trying to exploit the issue for political gains. As per the bulletin released last night, there is a total of 766 cases in the state. Even if we consider this report to be true, 417 of the total 766 Coronavirus Cases in Telangana are from GHMC Area.

That means around 54.4% of the Total Cases. On the other side, the Center wants the stats to be as transparent as possible to ensure a tight lockdown and at the same time, creating panic would mean detrimental for Brand Hyderabad. Telangana is largely dependent on the incomes and Brand Value of Hyderabad.

Hyderabad has the highest number of cases in the country after Mumbai and Chennai.
