Modi Mark Shock to Chandrababu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu allotted one Rajya Sabha seat to BJP’s Suresh Prabhu. The allotment came at a juncture when Rajya Sabha seats are like gold dust as the government does not have the majority in the Upper house and the more the seats, the more will be the bargaining power.

But Chandrababu allotted the seat to Railway Mister Suresh Prabhu hoping that there will be liberal allocations to the state in the upcoming Railway Budget. Months after the allotment, Chandrababu is due for a shock as the central government announced its intention of scrapping the Railway Budget concept.

From the next year, there will not be any separate budget for Indian Railways and the necessary allocations will be made in the Finance Budget as well. So, Suresh Prabhu is likely to be toothless now. He is more into the execution of projects while the actual allocation will be made by Arun Jaitley.

Given that we have all see what Jaitley is giving AP in Union Budget, we need no extraordinary intelligence to guess what will be in store for Andhra Pradesh in Railway allocations next. Chandrababu Naidu is likely to have no returns for the sacrifice he did for BJP. But then this is not anything new for TDP or AP.
