Newly Married Indian Couple’s Tragedy in Florida

Sudeep Srinivas, 30, and Gowri, 24, had no clue when they were driving back from a holiday in Florida that it would be their last day together. The newly married couple’s lives went haywire when their vehicle crashed on i20 west near Heflin, AL, on Sunday.

While Sudeep passed away due to the accident, Gowri is undergoing multiple surgeries and fighting for her life at UAB, Birmingham, AL. Their respective families are in shock at the loss of Sudeep and are coming to terms with Gowri’s condition.

For now, the doctors have said that Gowri needs to be in the hospital for another three months, and she is on an H4 visa and unemployed. The hospital charges are mounting, and their respective families are unable to handle the grief and the responsibility of flying Sudeep back to India for the funeral.

Sudeep was known to be a friendly and lovable person who had helped raise funds for many a noble cause. A fundraiser is currently on to meet immediate expenses for transporting Sudeep’s body to India and making funeral arrangements.
