No Free land to industries in Telangana!

K Chandra Sekhar Rao led Telangana government is in no mood to allocate free land to the upcoming industries of the state while neighbouring states like Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka are luring industries by offering huge incentives. KCR had instructed his officials not to promise any Free lands instead give all the favourable infrastructure for the smooth running of the industries.

Telangana government will prefer selling land outright and will also give them an option of giving lands on lease if the investors prefer. However experts say this decision will very much hit the industrial boom of the new state since industries will be tempted to the more lucrative deals offered by neighbouring states.

But government justifies its decision telling the industries can raise huge resources against the land ownership. Telangana government is planning a land bank of 5 Lakh Acres exclusively for industrial use of the state and promises to provide best available infrastructure in these land parcels.
