No Progress in Temple Attacks But Case on Chandrababu?

Political affairs in Andhra Pradesh never cease to surprise. What is more surprising even the police getting involved in politics. DGP Gautam Sawang is spearheading this much to the disappointment.

A few months ago, when Chandrababu Naidu was heckled in Vishakapatnam Airport, the DGP stunned everyone by calling it the Right of Expression of the protesters. Now, he announced discussing with legal experts about filing a case on the former Chief Minister.

“The Opposition leader is using Temple Attacks to instigate people in the name of Religion and Region. He is being irresponsible. He is saying Hinduism is under threat because the Chief Minister, Home Minister, and DGP are Christians,” the DGP said before the media.

If what Chandrababu did is wrong, almost every minister in Jagan’s cabinet has stopped addressing Chandrababu and Lokesh by their names and are adding a ‘Chowdary’ while addressing them. They are openly blaming a caste and the DGP should answer if that does not amount to creating disharmony in the society in the name of caste.

Leaving that aside, Andhra Police is yet to make progress in cases registered on Temple attacks but are eager to file cases to please the political bosses.
