No Roaming between AP and Telangana!


There will not be any Roaming Charges between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as widely publicized. Telecom Operators maintained that the two regions of the state will come under same circle and will not have roaming charges. A senior official from BSNL told that “Telecom authority is planning to waive roaming across the country and there is no way roaming will come in force in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana”.

It is not in the purview of Telecom operators to impose roaming. The decision had to be taken by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). Newly divided states Uttara Khand-Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand-Bihar and Madhya Pradesh-Chattisgarh also did not have any roaming charges. The rumours of roaming charges created a lot of worry among the people. As many people are residing in Hyderabad as a part of their jobs. They will be finding it difficult to talk to their parents in case of roaming.
