It is no secret that Sakshi Newspaper and Television are the mouthpieces of the YSR Congress in Andhra Pradesh. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s wife, Bharathi Reddy, manages Sakshi’s day-to-day affairs as the Chairperson.
A few days ago, Sharmila announced that she is also an equal stakeholder in Sakshi as Jagan.
But then, Sakshi Stake (Jagati Publications Ltd and Indira Television Ltd) did not figure in Sharmila’s Election Affidavit.
What is more surprising is that it did not even figure in Jagan’s Affidavit!
Even Jagan’s wife Bharathi also did not list Sakshi in her investments column.
There can be two reasons for this.
Sakshi is present in the Attachment of the Enforcement Directorate. We do not know if it is not listed for that reason.
The second reason is that Jagan and Sharmila are probably running the Channel in someone’s name and do not want to disclose their investment or ownership details to maintain the neutrality of Sakhi.
But who cares about it? Everyone in Andhra Pradesh believes that Sakshi is the pamphlet of the YSR Congress.
But then, if they had listed the details we would know the facts about Sharmila’s statement that she has an equal stake in Sakshi like her brother Jagan Mohan Reddy.
