No Supreme Stopping for Modi’s Juggernaut

Today was the hearing on the petition filed on demonetization of 500 and 1000 notes. It was said that Supreme Court wouldn’t interfere on the ban issue but asked the Centre to produce the measures that are being taken to make citizen’s work easy.

Supreme court was more concerned about the inconvenience caused to the nation on the sudden announcement and wouldn’t comment on the fight against black money or the financial policy of the government. Also, SC asked to do something about the difficulty that people are facing to perform several transactions.

When asked, center answered that they are working hard to make cash available to the people and the currency is being printed day and night.

The petition was filed asking to take back the decision of ban due to the complications caused or to extend the time frame given to exchange the old notes.
