No takers for Multi-flyovers in Hyderabad

The tenders for the construction of as many as 20 multi-level flyovers and junctions in GHMC limits has got very poor response much to the disappointment of the Telangana government. The tenders process began in July and were supposed to finalize one in a month but failed to.

Only three domestic companies have bid for the first stage of this project but they have no experience of constructing such huge projects bringing it square one. The project will cost approximately 2631 Crore and the payments will be made in 20 installments to the developer.

Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) is envisaged at de-congesting the city and putting an end to the traffic woes of the city. The government wants to complete the project in three years and latest before the next elections to impress the people. The project is likely to go up to 4051 Crore with the cost of the land acquisition.
