Priyanka Gandhi, daughter of Congress Supremo, Sonia Gandhi had confirmed that she is not at all interested in politics and is not going to contest in direct elections. She condemned the news that Congress refused her a seat when she was interested in contesting against Narendra Modi in Varanasi. This announcement also clears the rumours that Priyanka may lead Congress party after the elections.
Priyanka Gandhi was mostly confined to campaigning for her mother and brother so far. Only this year she campaigned against her cousin brother Varun Gandhi. Speaking in a public rally in Amethi, Priyanka opined that no party will be able to get clear majority this elections. The campaign time in Amethi ends this evening as the Gandhis’ Bastion is going to polls on May 7th.
