Not Loans, A Fraction Of My Rightful Share: Sharmila

Yesterday, APCC president YS Sharmila filed her nomination as Congress’s candidate for the Kadapa parliament seat. She was accompanied by her cousin Suneetha during the nomination.

In her affidavit, it was stated that Sharmila took a loan of Rs. 82.58 crores from her brother Jagan Mohan Reddy and Rs. 19.56 crore from Jagan’s wife Bharati Reddy.

She opened up about the reason behind taking a loan from her brother. Speaking to the media, Sharmila said it is every daughter’s to get some share from her father’s family.

She asserted the brother must make sure that his sister gets her share because it is his primary responsibility as a brother and maternal uncle.

“It is a known fact and is followed in every family. However, a few people don’t give a rightful share to their sisters. On top of it, they give an iota of their property’s share and give build-up as they gave a loan,” said Sharmila, indirectly taking a jibe at Jagan.

Things are not going well between Jagan and Sharmila for the last few years. That is the reason why she came out of the YSR Congress and started a separate political journey. With the latest affidavit disclosure, the disturbances within their family resurfaced in the media.
