
IAS officer Arvind Kumar appeared before ACB in Formula e-Racing case. The ACB questioned Arvind Kumar following a statement by ex minister KTR on June 16.
Arvind Kumar is A2 in the case and KTR is A1. Arvind Kumar made some interesting statements during the inquiry. He pointed finger at KTR saying the funds were released based on the directions of ex MAUD minister.
He clarified that he had no role in diversion of funds from HMDA to the company. It is said that Arvind Kumar stated that the funds were diverted following a Whatsapp message by ex MAUD minister KTR.
Arvind Kumar said he had no personal interests involved in the matter. The IAS officer said he advised the minister that the business rules and finance department’s permission has to be taken.
Funds have to be directed to FEO immediately. I will look after those matters, said KTR, revealed Arvind Kumar. Following this, Rs 45.17 crore were converted into British pounds via Indian Overseas Bank and given to the company, Arvind Kumar told ACB.
