One more former Union Minister in to TDP

Former Union cabinet minister and six-time Lok Sabha winner from Congress, A Sai Pratap is most likely to join Telugu Desam Party very soon. Sai Pratap was a trusted lieutenant of Late YS Rajasekhar Reddy and is from Balija community. Sai Pratap distanced himself from Congress after the bifurcation.

Since he do not have cordial relations with Jagan, TDP seem to be the only option for him. TDP do not have prominent leaders from Balija community except Chadalavada Krishnamurthy and so his joining may be useful in that front. Also TDP is weakest in Kadapa district and is trying it best to gain ground there.

So Sai Pratap’s joining will help to some extent in countering Jagan in his bastion. Very soon he will be joining TDP in the presence of Chandrababu Naidu. Sai Pratap is likely to bring with him good amount of cadre from both Congress and YSR Congress of the district. This developments of TDP gaining ground in Kadapa will not go well with Jagan.
