One year suspension and no allowances for Roja

The report of Privileges Committee over YSR Congress MLAs – Roja, Kodali Nani, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy and Jyothula Nehru is tabled in AP Assembly a short while ago. The committee cleared Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy and Jyothula Nehru over the complaints on them since they apologized for their actions.

Kodali Nani also apologized with the committee but the committee left a decision on him to the house itself. On the other side, the committee recommended rigorous action on Roja. The committee recommended one year suspension and all the allowances she is entitled in this year will also get cancelled.

This is in relation to her unparliamentary language used on TDP MLA Anitha. Earlier suspension of Roja is for her comments on CM Chandrababu and this punishment is different. We will have to see if both the punishments put together will come to two years suspension. More clarity will emerge in some time after the house discusses the report.
