Opposition missed basics in Warangal!

The just concluded Warangal by-elections is nothing less than a big shock for opposition parties in Telangana as they lost their deposits and the ruling party cruised to record majority. However it looks like Opposition have failed to gauge the intensity of the anti-incumbency in the state.

18 months is a very less time for people to get disappointed with a new government. More over it is a government backed by a huge sentiment wave. A government have to perform very badly to face people’s ire in such short time which is not the case of KCR government.

Obviously the less anti-incumbency and sentiment which still existed, helped the government to secure a positive vote. May be the opposition is in too hurry to pin down the government. The anti-government campaign boomeranged on the opposition especially in the sentiment wave.
