Paid Batch Gave Worst Ratings – Director

In Malayalam Film Industry, superstar Mohanlal is a name to reckon for. Expectations around his movies soar high and the filmmakers must keep in mind this aspect not to create too much hype and then blame the trolls and audiences if they (filmmakers) couldn’t reach the high expectations. Filmmaker VA Shrikumar is on the receiving for ignoring this fact.

He was trolled heavily for the way he delivered ‘Odiyan‘ with the superstar. The movie and the director were made fun of and most of the critics gave very poor ratings to the movie. Verbal attack and abuse on the director for spoiling the movie has reached new heights. Instead of introspecting on what went wrong on the movie, the director is now blaming others saying that there is a paid cyber gang that is attacking the movie.

According to the director, the common audiences are okay and happy with the outcome of the film and it is only a gang with vested interests that is trying to sabotage his career and also the film. These allegations were made by the director and Mohanlal didn’t say anything like this. In fact, the superstar tried to lower the high expectations before the release saying that the movie is an interesting one but a normal movie.

Well, Shrikumar’s name was mentioned by controversial actor Dileep when he was interrogated for the actress’ abduction case. He took the name of Shrikumar and also his ex-wife Manju Warrier. So, director Shrikumar sees a gang with vested interests doing all the negative publicity. By the way, Manju Warrier happens to be the female lead in ‘Odiyan’.
