Palabhishekam for the MP- Bit Too much?

Giving men the honor of a God might not be wrong when it is worth it like in case of Abdul Kalam and many other great leaders out there who have been given the place of gods in our country, but it won’t feel right in all the cases. Now, we got a buzz on the internet of a Hyderabad MP’s felicitation video going viral on the internet.

Malkajgiri’s MP, Malla Reddy, the owner of one of the largest educational institutes in the city got the honor of palabhishekam ( usually felicitation given by pouring milk over the idols). The man is known as an energetic person for his speeches to the students at his institutes. He loves to be in the light of the camera with one or the other events like Marathons. And now this felicitation video.

Whatever the reason was, such felicitation to a MP felt a little too much for some who said he is no god to be given such an honor, while his admirers are supporting the act worth for the man. What is your view on this?
