Pawan Kalyan Doesn’t Want to Repeat PRP Mistake?

Jana Sena President Pawan Kalyan who announced getting into Political Sphere by chalking out a detailed action plan to fight for the Special Status issue is also trying to get into election arena very soon. Rumours are abuzz in political circles that Jana Sena is planning to contest in the upcoming local body elections.

We are told that Jana Sena will make its electoral debut with Kakinada Municipal Elections. Incidentally, it is the same place where Jana Sena will be starting its Special Status fight from September 9th. Kakinada also has a significant population of Pawan Kalyan’s community and that will also help the party there.

Kakinada Municipal Election may happen towards the end of the year or early next year. Jana Sena is planning to contest independently in this election to get an estimate of its strength at the ground level. Praja Rajyam directly contested in General election in 2009 without testing waters in local body elections.

That decision backfired as the party failed to make cadre at the grass root levels and then there are also no local leaders to streamline the party. Pawan Kalyan who watched Praja Rajyam debacle from close quarters would not want that to happen with Jana Sena. But then the real question is if Jana Sena will be ready to fight the election without any organizational structure.
