Pawan Tours Ippatam, Keeps An ‘Old’ Promise

AP Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan visited Ippatam near Tedepalli in Guntur district on Wednesday. The visit holds significance due to past events involving Jana Sainiks during the YSRCP term.

During the previous regime, houses belonging to Jana Sainiks were demolished citing road widening works. There were allegations that the demolitions were linked to the land donated for the Jana Sena foundation meeting.

At that time, Pawan Kalyan toured the area and assured the affected families that justice would be done. During that visit, a senior citizen named Indla Nageswaramma personally requested him to return to Ippatam once he came to power.

Keeping his word, Pawan Kalyan visited Ippatam and went directly to Nageswaramma’s house. He was warmly welcomed by the family and affectionately hugged her, which left her visibly emotional and delighted.

During the interaction, Pawan Kalyan extended financial assistance to the family. He gave Rs 50000 to Nageswaramma and announced Rs 1 lakh towards her grandson’s education.

He also assured long-term support by committing Rs 5000 from his salary every month for the grandson’s education. The decision was taken after speaking to the family and understanding their situation.

Later, Nageswaramma expressed happiness over the Deputy CM keeping his promise. She said Pawan Kalyan advised her to take care of her health and assured continued support to her family.
