YouTube Plague: Not Just Talk, Pawan Kalyan Should Act

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan expressed strong concern over how minor incidents in Pithapuram get blown out of proportion online. He said even a fallen coconut or palm leaf is projected as a major issue, creating unnecessary panic and misinformation.

He warned miscreants against spreading false narratives and asked them to stop such behaviour. Pawan Kalyan made these remarks during the Peetikapura Sankranthi Mahotsavalu event held in Pithapuram, highlighting the misuse of YouTube and social media platforms.

Pawan Kalyan said several development programmes are underway in Pithapuram and urged people to strengthen his efforts. He stated that he would continue working for the constituency regardless of power and warned troublemakers against attempting to create unrest in the area.

He also directed the police to act firmly on law and order issues. Pawan Kalyan said he would tolerate criticism against himself or his party but would not forgive attempts to create divisions among people. He stressed that Chief Minister Chandrababu’s experience is vital for the state.

Pawan Kalyan’s strong words come amid rising concern over certain YouTube channels. Some YSRCP sympathisers, operating under the guise of digital media, are allegedly trying to stir caste conflicts in Pithapuram by linking unrelated incidents to caste angles.

Even minor fights among school children are being portrayed as serious caste issues. This attention intensifies because Pithapuram is Pawan Kalyan’s constituency, making it an easy target for sensational content aimed at gaining views.

Coastal Andhra remains sensitive when it comes to caste matters, and small incidents can quickly escalate. Pawan Kalyan raised the issue clearly, but many feel action should follow words to prevent the spread of such harmful narratives.

Once strict action is taken against a few YouTube channels, others are likely to fall in line. Without firm enforcement, this pattern of misinformation continues to spread rapidly, much like a contagion across digital platforms.
