The Andhra Pradesh has been searching for YSR Congress Party’s Macharla MLA Pinnelli Rama Krishna Reddy for the last couple of days.
The Election Commission ordered the arrest of Pinnelli for damaging the EVM and VVPAT machines at the Palvai Gate polling booth in the Macharla constituency. Pinnelli was named the A1 in the case and was booked under various sections.
Meanwhile, Pinnelli filed a lunch-motion petition at the High Court requesting for anticipatory bail. The High Court will inquire the petition very soon.
AP’s Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena said that a total of eight special police teams are hunting for Pinnelli who is under hiding. He expressed confidence in arresting Pinnelli very soon. He said it could be just a matter of time before Pinnelli gets arrested.
Amidst this hunt, Pinnelli’s petition in the High Court drew attention. What will be the High Court magistrate’s verdict about his anticipatory bail petition has to be seen.
On the whole, Pinnelli’s incident dented the image of the YSR Congress Party and its leaders ahead of the crucial counting of the voting.
