Political Party That Deposited the Most During Notes Ban

Ever wondered how much any political party deposited the old notes during demonetisation? Well, here are the numbers. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) topped in depositing the banned notes in the banks. The party deposited 104 crores out of popular fifteen national and regional political parties.

Total depositions made by the 15 parties is 167 crores where about a 45 percent of the amount was held by Bahujan Samaj Party. Remaining fourteen parties together deposited 63 crores of old 500 and 1000 notes. Coming to the other numbers, leading party, BJP deposited 4.75 and the opposition Congress gave 3.2 Crores.

Sources reported that most of the banned notes of count 15.44 trillion which were in circulation have been accounted with the depositions and exchanged at banks.
