Politicos Behind the Woes of Hyderabad

Telangana government is speaking about stern action on encroachment of nalas since the heavy rains lashed Hyderabad last month exposing the discrepancies of the city infrastructure. The survey conducted by the GHMC mayor and irrigation officials identified the encroachment by politicos and another survey has been ordered.

Among the Nala Sharks are politicians across the parties. Majority of the Real Estate Builders who encroached the Nalas have joined the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti to get the necessary immunity. The Corporation officials are in two minds in taking action on these politicos and to kill time, another survey was ordered at the same places.

Some of the victims due to these encroachments are very disturbed with this attitude of the officials. “There are numerous surveys of the past and recent times to take the action. But we have clearly seen officials advising politicos to deal with the bosses till they finish a new survey. Finally it is the people who will suffer,” a victim in Madinaguda claimed.
