Poor Can Save 2 Lacs Per Year With Cheap Liquor: BJP

Somu Veerraju’s remarks that he would give cheap liquor for Rs 50 if BJP comes to power sparked a large-scale controversy. People are mocking BJP and are calling him Sarai Veerraju. The comments have shamed BJP even in the National media.

People are criticizing the AP-BJP has deteriorated to the point of begging votes offering cheap liquor. However, Somu Veerraju is still trying to defend his comments. Speaking at a media conference in Rajahmundry, Somu Veerraju calculated that if cheap liquor is sold for Rs 50, each poor family would have a surplus of Rs 2 lakh a year.

He clarified that he was talking about cheap liquor with the poor in mind and also said he does not encourage the sale of a six-rupee bottle for two hundred rupees. “I am not Sarai Veerraju, I am Biryani Veerraju, I am Cement Veerraju, I am Kodigudla Veerraju,” he said.

The shock did not end there. Somu Veerraju has made it clear that he did not make the comments just like that and he will put his comments in the BJP manifesto in 2024.
