Posters on Metro Pillars to invite hefty fines!

Starting this January 1st, Metro Rail authorities will be imposing hefty fines to those sticking posters on Metro Rail Pillars or any Metro properties. Authorities have already put up notices on some of the pillars with message “No posters/advertisement of any kind allowed without permission on Hyderabad Metro rail property.”

Interestingly, the majority of culprits in this issue are the leaders and cadre of the ruling party.Enthusiastic leaders have been putting posters greeting the Telangana Chief Minister and other ministers on various occasions. Besides them, there are also posters being put up by educational institutions and religious groups. Some of the pillars near colleges also do have declarations of love written by students.

While advertising on television or print media is being very costly, various party leaders are choosing these posters of Metro Rail pillars and walls as cheaper alternative of pasting posters on the Metro rail pillars.
