Pranay Case Accused Maruthi Rao Commits Suicide

Maruthi Rao, the main accused in the caste killing of 24-year-old Pranay Perumalla in Miryalaguda in 2018, was found dead in Hyderabad. His body was found in room number 306 at the Arya Vaishya Bhavan in Khairatabad. He committed suicide and his body is being shifted to the Osmania Hospital for Post-Mortem.

He reportedly left a letter behind saying “Girija Please Excuse Me. Amrutha comes to your mother’. Police have registered this as a suspicious death and are investigating. His daughter Amrutha refused to comment on his death since she did not have confirmation about it.

“I will respond once I get confirmation maybe tomorrow. As of now, we only know that from News. He may have committed suicide due to the regret of killing Pranay,” Amrutha said. Amrutha was pregnant when Pranay was killed on September 14th, 2018. Later, she delivered a baby boy whom she named Nihan.

She has been living with her in-laws since then but is fighting the case against her father. Security is beefed up at Amrutha’s house after this incident.
