Jan Suraaj chief Prashant Kishor has finally spoken after the major defeat in Bihar. His party failed to make any impact in the elections. The loss has triggered questions about his future in politics.
Prashant Kishor said he is fully responsible for the defeat. He admitted that the team worked honestly but still failed. He also added that there were mistakes in communicating their ideas. Even though they could not bring a change in government, he believes they created a small shift in state politics.
Earlier, Prashant Kishor predicted that his party would win either less than 10 seats or 150 seats. He also said that the Nitish Kumar-led JDU would not win more than 25 seats. Both predictions turned out to be wrong.
Jan Suraaj failed to win any seat, and JDU secured 85 seats. This is far higher than what Prashant Kishor expected. He had written off Nitish Kumar, who is now preparing to take oath as chief minister of Bihar for the 10th time.
Prashant Kishor had also said that he would quit politics if JDU crossed 25 seats. But now, he remains silent on that promise. His next move is being watched closely.
