Railway Line To Amaravati

Andhra Pradesh’s capital city Amaravati will soon get a railway track. The MPs of Andhra Pradesh made key announcements regarding the new railway line to Amaravati.

The MPs held a meeting with the South Central Railway General Manager Arun Kumar Jain earlier today. After the meeting, Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath(Chinni)said that MPs have requested the Railway GM to approve Road Over Bridge (ROBs) and Road Under Bridge (RUBs) for the Amaravati railway line.

It was stated that leaders requested for new normal and Vande Bharat trains for Amaravati. Kesineni Sivanath(Chinni) further stated that the previous YCP government completely ignored the railway system which is why Amaravati failed to get a new railway line. He added that all railway-related issues will be solved in these five years.

Apart from Amaravati, AP MPs requested new railway lines and trains for their respective constituencies. Bapatla MP Tenneti Krishna Prasad requested for new line between Repalle and Bapatla, a fourth line between Vijayawada and Gudur, and a Vande Bharat sleeper train to Bengaluru.

If Amaravati gets railway line connectivity, it would significantly boost the capital city’s trade, and the improved connectivity would greatly benefit its development.
