Raj Kasireddy, the main accused in the Rs 3200 crore AP liquor scam, has developed minor health problems. He was taken to the Vijayawada government hospital for treatment. Doctors conducted medical tests on him.

Police said his condition is not serious. Clinical tests are still underway. After the checks are completed, he will be shifted back to jail. Officials said there is no cause for alarm at this stage.

The Chandrababu government ordered a police inquiry after finding irregularities in the AP liquor policy. Investigators later confirmed these irregularities. Following this, several accused were arrested and sent to jail.

Raj Kasireddy was identified as A1 in the case. Police arrested him and placed him under remand. He remains a remand prisoner and was taken to hospital only due to these minor health issues.

He had earlier applied for bail. The court rejected it, citing the key role he played in the liquor scam. Authorities said his involvement was central to the case.

People across Andhra Pradesh are closely watching the Rs 3200 crore liquor case. Allegations say spurious liquor was sold during the YSRCP term. These claims link the scam to deaths and large scale corruption.
