The Chandrababu government ordered a police inquiry after finding irregularities in the AP liquor policy. Investigators later confirmed these irregularities. Following this, several accused were arrested and sent to jail.
Raj Kasireddy was identified as A1 in the case. Police arrested him and placed him under remand. He remains a remand prisoner and was taken to hospital only due to these minor health issues.
He had earlier applied for bail. The court rejected it, citing the key role he played in the liquor scam. Authorities said his involvement was central to the case.
