Rajahmundry Rural: Race Between TDP And Janasena

TDP Veteran leader Gorantla Butchiah Chowdary won the 2019 elections despite the huge YSR Congress wave. He is a six-time MLA and is one of the oldest members of TDP.

Butchiah, however, is facing heat in the constituency this time. While there are not many complaints about him, Janasena candidate Kandula Durgesh is very active in the constituency and has a good name here.

However, Janasena may not win here on its own but can come very close if there is no alliance.

If there is an alliance between TDP and Janasena, it is going to be an easy seat to whoever contests from here.

TDP and Janasena had an alliance in the local elections as well and have gotten good results in this constituency.

If TDP contests alone and if there is a wave for the party before the elections, Butchiah will still have a fair chance.

Either way, many believe that TDP and Janasena will be in the first two positions and YSR Congress will be pushed to the third position here.
