The Ratan Tata Innovation Hub aims to drive Andhra Pradesh’s start up growth in a big way. In its initial phase it plans to incubate 20,000 start ups. The goal is to build a strong innovation ecosystem.
The hub has set a target of creating one lakh jobs by 2029. It also plans to guide 20 soonicorns and 10 unicorns. Ten centres of excellence will be developed to support this mission.
A key focus of the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub is grassroots innovation. It will work in tier 2 and tier 3 cities to find and support local talent. This approach is meant to spread growth beyond major urban centres.
Located in Amaravati RTIH aims to reach its goals within five years. It will provide mentorship infrastructure and funding. These resources will support innovation driven economic growth across the state.
The hub will have five regional centres across Andhra Pradesh. It will support start up incubation, MSME facilitation, banking linkages, training and venture capital. A Rs 50 crore corpus fund will encourage industrial entrepreneurship.
The hub wants to move AP from ease of doing business to speed of doing business. It also wants to turn Andhra Pradesh into a global technology hub. This shift is central to its long term vision.
