Reason for delay in Special Railway Zone for AP!

According to Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, Central government should take a decision on Special Railway zone for the state within 6 months of the bifurcation. This deadline expired on December 2nd and there is no announcement as such till date. The committee appointed to look in to the issue had submitted its report and the Railway Ministry is sitting on it.

Sources say that Central government is pushing for a radical changes in Indian Railways and as a part of it will be shuffling the existing zones in the country. There are demands for separate railway zones for AP and Gujarat, the center wants to create them without increasing the Zones number.However such proposal have several problems from other states which is delaying Special zone for AP.

We are said that a decision may be out by the end of this Parliament session. If it missed, then the announcement may be in the next Railway budget.
