Hyd My Asset, Amaravati Their Liability: Revanth

BRS is trying to corner Chief Minister Revanth Reddy using Chandrababu Naidu. The Andhra Pradesh leader is often pulled into political debates. Revanth, once a TDP leader, frequently takes jibes at Chandrababu to distance himself from his past association.

In his latest NDTV interview, Revanth said, “Hyderabad is my advantage. Amaravati is their liability. Climate is their liability. Climate is my asset.” He stressed that Hyderabad gives him a strong edge compared to Amaravati.

He also highlighted that his age works in his favour. Revanth dismissed the ‘Nara Lokesh’ factor, pointing out that Chandrababu Naidu is too senior and Nara Lokesh is too young, while he stands in the middle with an advantage.

Revanth believes these comments can weaken the BRS propaganda about his ties with Chandrababu. At the same time, he feels TDP supporters will understand the intent behind his remarks.

In the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections, TDP supporters backed the Congress, which boosted Revanth significantly. Since Chandrababu was jailed and TDP withdrew, it created a direct vote transfer to Congress in Telangana.
