Political Statements Are Political, No Cases: Revanth

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy once again accused the BJP and BRS of working together. His reaction came after BJP Minister of State for Home, Bandi Sanjay, mocked him for wearing a skull cap and said he would rather cut off his head than do the same.

Revanth Reddy responded firmly when asked if cases would be filed over Bandi Sanjay’s remarks. He said political statements are part of elections and his government won’t file cases over them. “Political statements are political statements,” he told reporters.

Revanth didn’t stop there. He reminded the media that Bandi Sanjay had appealed to all Hindus to vote for the BJP in the Jubilee Hills bypoll. The CM asked if, after the results on November 14, Sanjay would label Hindus who didn’t vote for BJP as being against the party or PM Modi’s governance.

He also pointed out that Bandi Sanjay and Kishan Reddy must realise that BJP and BRS are no different. Revanth alleged that Kishan Reddy is openly supporting BRS, just as he did during the Parliamentary elections. He claimed BRS deliberately gave up eight seats—Mahbubnagar, Chevella, Secunderabad, Malkajgiri, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Medak, and Adilabad—helping BJP win them.

Revanth Reddy said Kishan Reddy is now returning the favour through his “thanksgiving.” Wrapping up his comments, the CM called this election a litmus test for both parties.
