Ruling Congress Minister for Roads and Buildings, Komatireddy Venkatreddy, has taken a sharp dig at K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), saying KTR is not of his stature. He also predicted that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) would soon split into five factions.
Speaking to the media at the Bhuvanagiri collectorate, Komatireddy said KTR was still studying in Guntur when he first became an MLA. He claimed that BRS would soon divide into five groups — with KCR leading a pensioners’ faction, followed by BRS H, BRS KTR, BRS S, and BRS Himanshu, along with a separate wing under Kavitha.
Komatireddy further alleged that Kavitha misused Kaleshwaram project funds in the names of Harish Rao and Santosh Rao and is now warning her brother KTR about them. He also criticised the previous BRS government for failing to supply thin rice to the public during its term.
Bhuvanagiri MP Chamala joined the criticism, saying that those who were involved in corruption were now calling others corrupt. He said the people had already confined KCR to his farmhouse in the 2023 elections and denied BRS even a single Lok Sabha seat. The party also lost the Cantonment seat, and he predicted another defeat in the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election.
Chamala added that the Congress government has reviewed people’s issues and remains committed to their welfare above politics.
