Revanth Reddy’s Ram-Shiva remarks spark debate

If there is one thing that Revanth Reddy is particularly good at then, it would be his insane ability to create a public discourse through his speeches and public addressals. He has elevated this to a whole new degree during his participation in international debate last night.

Revanth Reddy spoke at length about the religious politics of the BJP and he was characteristically aggressive with the same.

The Telangana CM commented that the BJP groups frequently speak about Prabhu Sriram and proudly say Jai Shri Ram while they are very conservative about saying Har Har Mahadev.

The CM had a very interesting observation on this matter, as he said Sriram is a God for the rich and financially sound while Siva is a God for the needy and the underprivileged. He gave the strong implication that the BJP troops up north are financially sound while the South Indian population is more underprivileged, and hence they believe in Siva.

Revanth Reddy has managed to bring a new religious debate into this equation as he put the BJP in a spot of bother by using their own religious angle against them.

It is indeed a fact that the BJP extensively uses Jai Shri Ram notion more than anything else. They are very conservative about the usage of Lord Siva as well. This has been pointed out by Revanth Reddy, and it has to be seen how the BJP leadership would react to the same.
